A guys' weekend getaway to John Martin Reservoir (June 28th-30th, 2024) turned into an adventure with a few unexpected turns! A lost campsite, a last-minute reservation, and a missing camper window provided some laughs (and a pre-trip repair for Paul!), but sunshine, jet skiing, and exploring new lakes made it a trip to remember. Already planning our next escape – Blue Lake, here we come!
A kayaking trip down the Arkansas River with friends turned into an unforgettable adventure (and a minor misadventure) on Saturday, June 22nd. Pavel lost his kayak at the start, while Martin and Halka took an unintended dip (luckily Jana saved the day!). Despite the cloudy skies, high waters, and a few bumps along the way, the camaraderie and the thrill of the ride made it a memory to cherish.
Four days, four friends, and the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon! Our guys' getaway (June 13th-16th) was a whirlwind adventure. We traversed over 690 miles, marveled at the Four Corners landmark, and hiked the depths of the Grand Canyon, culminating in a refreshing dip in the Colorado River. Sore muscles and all, this trip forged memories that will last a lifetime!
Day 12 Termessos: A Hike Through History's Foothills
Antalya offered more than just beaches. Our adventure took us to Termessos Ruins, nestled high in the Taurus Mountains. We opted for the challenging hike, rewarded with breathtaking views of the ancient city. Exploring the theater, tombs, and temples was like stepping back in time. Kaleiçi: Antalya's Old Town Enchantment
Antalya's heart truly lies in Kaleiçi, its Old Town. Stepping through Hadrian's Gate, I was transported into a labyrinth of charming Ottoman houses and bustling bazaars. Day 6 was all about cascading beauty! We explored the enchanting Kurşunlu Waterfalls, a series of 7 falls nestled in a lush pine forest.
