Kaleiçi: Antalya’s Old Town Enchantment
Antalya’s Old Town, Kaleiçi, cast its spell on us from the very first moment. Our morning was a whirlwind of exploration,our legs carrying us through the labyrinthine streets, eager to soak up every detail. The honey-colored stone buildings,adorned with vibrant bougainvillea cascading from balconies, created a picture-perfect backdrop for our adventure.
We weaved through bustling bazaars, losing ourselves amidst a kaleidoscope of colors and textures. Spices filled the air with an exotic aroma, handcrafted treasures glittered under the morning sun, and carpets in every shade imaginable invited us to touch their intricate patterns.
But all that exploring built up quite an appetite! Luckily, a local food stand caught our eye, beckoning us with the promise of a refreshing break. We settled down, savoring steaming cups of Turkish tea and the sweet delight of Lokum, a traditional Turkish treat. As we sipped and chatted, the world seemed to slow down for a moment, the perfect pause to savor the atmosphere and people-watch.
With bellies full and spirits high, we reluctantly turned back towards the hotel, already planning our return to delve deeper into the magic of Kaleiçi. Stay tuned for more adventures in this captivating old town!
